Introducing the Adjustable Cookbook & Cutting Board Stand, the newest addition to the Boardsmith kitchen.
Handcrafted in our family woodshop from the same sustainably harvested (certified FSC) premium-grade maple, walnut, and cherry hardwoods as our Boardsmith cutting boards. This Stand is built to hold whatever you use - a well-loved cookbook, or a digital tablet or even your grannie's recipe card.
The two-piece design slides together, so you set the angle and width that fit the book in front of you. Thick or thin, propped open to the page you need, it stays put.
Prefer to cook from a screen? The stand holds an iPad or tablet just as well, keeping your recipe upright and off the counter.
And when dinner is done, you can even set your Boardsmith cutting board in it. Your board dries, your counter stays clear, and your favorite board becomes a display piece.
Dimensions
Flat: 12" L x 10" W x 1.5" H

Hi - I bought this primarily for a board stand. It's good but would be better if you could "lock in" the size so you did not have to constantly adjust it when you remove then put the board on. The board is heavy, and you pick it up only to discover you accidentally made the "ledge" smaller, put it down, fix it, try again. So, cumbersome. I do like how it stores the board, giving me more counter space. I think one adjustment to the engineering, where you have a tab or something that holds the size would make it perfect.
Great feedback, Elizabeth, thanks! When we were designing and prototyping, I ultimately had to decide if this was a cookbook/device stand that could also be used as a cutting board holder, or if it was a cutting board holder that could also be used as a cookbook/device stand. We decided on the former. A true cutting board stand probably would need to be wider, lower to the ground, with a fixed base.
As it is, I think this stand does a pretty decent job of holding/displaying sidekicks, 12 X 18 boards, and even 16 X 22 boards. The sliding base maybe adds an element of fussiness to the process, but it's also a key feature of making it such a great cookbook/recipe/display stand.
Really appreciate your sharing your thoughts in a constructive way. New products are fun to design, but there's always tweaks that can be done. -john, owner
Great addition to the litchen
The adjustable stand is thoughtfully designed and beautifully functional. I am very selective about what gets permanent countertop space, but this stand absolutely does. It also disassembles flat for easy storage when necessary. I agree with another comment that it could have been sanded smoother.
Nice overall, works well, could’ve been sanded smoother
A great cookbook holder and an elegant way to display a beautiful cutting board. Ours was made of Cherry. I wish I could find Cherry this nice for my other projects
